Academic experiences in the formation of women students in Science in Higher Secondary Education

The purpose of this research is to analyze the perception in women students to promote preferences towards science and technology through academic experiences and of scientific dissemination using augmented reality as a tool in students of higher secondary education. The research uses a quantitative methodology, non-experimental and of exploratory character. As instrument, a STEM (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) perception questionnaire was designed with a reliability of 92% of Cronbach alpha which was applied toa sample of 150 students. Finally, the obtained results of the perceptions before the activities establish that 20.2%were negative and only44.7% positive. Afterwards the activities with augmented reality, negative preferences were eliminated and positive reached an 80.5%, achieving to increase the interest and aspirations in students of high secondary education to the formation of STEM profiles and scientific vocation.
