The Hot Potatoes educational program to improve reading

The general objective was to verify the effect of the Hot Potatoes program in the improvement of learning in the comprehension of texts of the students of the Alas Peruanas University. The method used was a quantitative approach, quasi-experimental design, and of an applied type. The census sample was 23 for the control group and for the experimental group a total of 46 students, the instrument in data collection was the survey technique under the application of a 20-item questionnaire with an Alpha reliability of Cronbach ,843. The results show that there are significant levels of outstanding achievement in the use of the educational program Hot Potatoes in the process of learning experiences. The conclusions indicate that if the Hop Potatoes program does allow students to improve their learning in the text comprehension competence.
