Abstract

Next, the results of a study with quantitative analysis are presented whose objective was to know the creativity of students from various disciplinary areas in a public university in Jalisco, Mexico.179 students participated in the study, distributed as follows: Psychology 18%, Computer Engineering 12%, Law 12%, Administration 18%, Engineering in Livestock Systems 13%, Nursing 17% and Surgeon and Midwife 10%. For data collection, the CREA instrument and a questionnaire were used to detect the habit of academic reading and use of ICT by students and thus identify whether these factors are related to creativity. The results indicate that most of the sample is located in a barometer of medium creativity, which indicates that their ability to innovate and develop creative products is moderate and they have the potential to apply said competence.
