Organizational culture and productivity: a proposal for its diagnosis at an IMSS General Hospital

Organizational culture (OC) is a dynamic tool and can be a favorable strategy for the organization. This isqualitative research, and the method is narrative. The objective was to analyze the relevant bibliography on the subject of OC and its relationship with productivity in organizations and health institutions, to address the problems observed at an IMSSGeneral Hospital of the IMSS. 230 articles and texts were found and analyzed, selecting ten for this work, which agree on the relevance of constructinga diagnosis ofthe OC, for this,the model the Edgar Schein was chosen for a future application. It was concluded that this diagnosis can be the basis for applying solutions to the problems that are detected at any of the levels evaluatedbythe model: artifacts, values or assumptions.
