Abstract

The purpose of this study was to strengthen competences in writing arguments using the Classroom platform with students from the Academic Unit of Accounting and Administration of the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit. To achieve this, two instruments and one treatment were implemented. The sample in this study was 63 students. The first instrument measured descriptive and demographic data and a pretest the student's prior knowledge. Afterwards, a treatment with the topic of writing arguments was applied using the Classroom platform with a short essay as a result. At the end of the treatment, the post-test was applied, excluding item 1, which is the demographic data. The research is quasi-experimental and mixed, located within the mixed paradigm. The results obtained affirm the achievement of competencies for writing arguments as good, but not excellent, as is the use of classroom for this purpose.
