Abstract

To evaluate patients with spinal cord injuries, more research is needed to achieve that purpose. The objective of this paper is to validate a test that evaluates functional physicality and classifies the degree of validity of paraplegic or paraperitic subjects due to spinal cord injury. The test was made through the expert opinion, requesting the opinion of 31 specialists who had at least five years working with this injury, for this the coefficient of agreement between the experts was used. To find the validity of the test, the correlation of Bravais Pearson's moment product was used, correlating the test developed with the Barthel Index and its reliability was also determined through the analysis of variance. The sample consisted of 105 patients, of both sexes and aged between five and 54 years. The results obtained demonstrate the excellent reliability and validity of the proposed test.
