Adolescence is a critical and challenging period in development; therefore, it is of utmost importance to address and prevent disorders such as depression or anxiety. The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of a philosophical intervention on depression rates in high school students. The method consisted of the evaluation of depression before and after the intervention with the BDI-Y test. Of the cases of the young people attended in the intervention workshops, on average, their depressive classification decreased by 67%. The implementation of the workshops with content in ethical values can be a model of early mental health intervention to reduce the levels of depression in high school students, which created a multiplier effect in the class groups, as well as in the increase of coexistence and teamwork.
