Impact of tutorials for preventing and combating cyberbullying and sexual harassment

Abstract

The objective of the research is to measure the impact of tutorials for the prevention and combat against cyberbullying and cyberstalking, a crime that has increased exponentially due to the misuse of digital media. The tutorials have the function of issuing messages on: preventive behaviors, safety, identification of the victimizer, personal management of the event and reporting the crime to the authorities. Quantitative method, cross-sectional and descriptive analysis of the satisfaction questionnaire wasused in a sample of 4,104 participants. The results were as follows: men prefer to visualize the identification message of the victimizer to avoid being confused with him/her (61%) and to report the crime electronically (51%). Women request personalized, professional and comprehensive attention with prompt and expeditious justice (68%) to end impunity and eradicate the misogynist culture. They concluded with a good level of satisfaction with the information provided by the tutorials (88%).
